Honor Your Vow

In Ecclesiastes 5, the writer reminds us that we should always keep our promises to God. We should be mindful of the things we have promised the Lord and be determined to fulfill them.

Yes, God is merciful, forgiving, and full of grace, but do not take advantage of His kindness to you in any area of your life. Be faithful and keep your promises to Him. Honor the vow that you have made to Him.

God has not forgotten, He’s waiting on you,

To do the thing you promised to do,

So, find a way to do it somehow,

Do what you promised and honor your vow.

Advance in Adversity

God gave Joseph a dream at a young age that he would someday be a great leader. His brothers, however, were jealous of him and sold him to merchants who took him to Egypt. In Egypt, Joseph faced many harsh circumstances. Yet, God used the adversity and blessed him to rise from being a slave to becoming a great ruler in Egypt.

When you face adversity, trust God for the things you cannot control or understand. If you continue to trust Him in the tough times, you will see that you can advance in adversity as God plans His best for you.

God promised to always be by your side,

To be your help, your friend, and your guide,

So, always remember in all you go through,

That He’s really planning His best for you.

Your Past Victories

David’s brothers and others did not believe he could defeat Goliath, the giant. However, they were not in the field when he killed a lion and a bear. Only he and God knew that his past victories had prepared him to defeat the giant.

Surely, God has done something for you in the past that now gives you confidence to trust Him for the battle you are facing today. Maybe only you and God really know about the past victories that have prepared you to defeat the giant that you are facing today. Stand firm on your relationship with Him, and remember your past victories until you emerge as a victor in the battle you face today.

David took the challenge against all odds,
And put his fate in the hands of God,
The giant was big, but David didn’t care,
For he had killed a lion and a bear.

Pray for Your Child

God can use your child at a young age.

Samuel was very young when Hannah left him with Eli at the temple, and he was a blessing to the ministry. In 1 Samuel 2:11, the child “did minister unto the Lord before Eli the priest.” Also, 1 Samuel 2:26 says, “And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favor both with the Lord, and also with men.”

Even when our children are young, they can be a blessing to the ministry. Ask the Lord to show you how you can instill the things of God into the heart and mind of your child at a young age so that he or she will be “in favor both with the Lord, and also with men.”

Pray that your child’s life will be blessed,
Ask God to please send Heaven’s best.
Then watch Him move in amazing ways,
When you give Him your child and pray.

Behind the Scenes

God is working behind the scenes.

God has promised to guide you and prepare a path before you. He is always working behind the scenes to make a way for you. When God is your guide, the paths that were once crooked or impassable will become straight and easy.

You may not understand all that God is doing in your life. However, He will send you some things in such unique ways that you will know it has to be from the hand of God. Trust Him when you cannot see or understand how He is working in your life. Believe that He is always working on your behalf behind the scenes of your life.

Behind the scenes, God is working for you,
Doing the things only God can do,
Although, at times, He’s misunderstood,
He’s working things together for your good.
